2407 Poplar Springs Dr.
This Mission style house was first inhabited by John Herbert Wright, husband of Matty Hersee Wright. Mr. Wright had a close friendship with Mr. M.R. Grant, who lived just next door. Together, the two were leaders in development of the Poplar Springs area. After the Wrights, the Woods family owned the house. After this, Caswell W. Cochrane, a local lumber merchant owned the house. At one point, one family, Tom O. Mason and his wife, Madeline E. Mason, converted the house into apartments. The original layout of the house is now unknown, and little information about the original plan has come to light.
