On the other side of the street, just inside the edge of the historic district, at the site of 2601, is the former location of Ollhoft Grocery. Before demolition in 1991, this was a one-story brick structure with a flat roof, a canopy, and large plate-glass windows in the front.
The Ollhofts lived at 2609, which was also demolished. The house was originally a Queen Anne/Colonial Revival style home.
The grocery store appears to have passed through at least two generations of Ollhoft hands.
